James Kemeter, 81, of Allentown, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Born on October 17, 1943, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Edward and Stella M. (Ehernstrasser) Kemeter.
Jim earned many gold medals in the special Olympics and took great pride in that. He had beautiful cursive handwriting, while in various state hospitals throughout his life, Jim would write handwritten letters for patients to send home to their families. Jim adored watching westerns on tv---his favorite was The Rifleman and his favorite cowboy was Jack Mahoney. Throughout his youth, Jim was very strong and loved shoveling snow for various places.
Jim will be dearly missed by his brother, Daniel Kemeter and his wife, Christine; three nephews, Jeffrey Kemeter, David Kemeter, and Michael Kemeter; three great nephews and one great niece.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his brother, Father Robert Kemeter.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Church, 450 E. Washington Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18017 with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be private.
