James Bernard O'Hara

James Bernard "J.B." O'Hara, 84, of New Tripoli, PA formerly of Exton, PA passed away peacefully on July 2, 2026, Cornerstone Assisted Living , New Tripoli. He was the husband of Michele "Mikki" (Lipsky) O'Hara. J.B. was born on June 28, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA, and was the son of the late James Bernard and Mary Rose (Walsh) O'Hara. J.B. devoted his life to serving his community as a dedicated police officer for the City of Philadelphia in the firearms division.
J.B. was a proud veteran of the Army and brought that sense of duty and commitment into all aspects of his life, particularly during his long career in law enforcement. He was respected and admired by his colleagues and the community he served.

Beyond his commitment to service, "J.B." was known for his deep love of sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles, and enjoyed activities such as shooting, hunting, and hockey, which brought him great joy and connection with family and friends.

He is survived by his siblings: Sharon White and her husband Charles of Omega, Georgia, Kevin O'Hara and his wife of Eileen of Cape Coral, FL, Brian O'Hara of Red Hill, PA, and Dennis O'Hara and his wife Crystal of Reading; nieces & nephews.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 10:30am at Saints Simon & Jude Church, 730 West Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA. Inurnment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Online condolences connellfuneral.com
