JoAnn L. Gosztonyi, 92, of Bethlehem, passed away on December 12, 2025, at Alexandria Manor in Nazareth. Born on August 2, 1933, in Fountain Hill, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Natterman and the late Ruth (Smith) Natterman. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, William Gosztonyi.
JoAnn dedicated her life first and foremost to her family. A devoted homemaker, she also spent many years as a hardworking and dependable employee in the garment industry. She worked for Trio Togs in Bethlehem Township and Bethleon Togs, retiring in 1996 after a long and steady career.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bethlehem. Joann volunteered her time at the Salvation Army and was a member of the Heights Athletic Association in Bethlehem. She was known for her steadfast personality and strong spirit.
Joann found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved playing cards with friends, watching Western movies, and was an exceptional baker who truly loved baking for family and others. Animals held a special place in her heart, especially her own, and she took great comfort in their companionship.
She will be dearly missed by her son, Bill Gosztonyi, Jr., and his wife, Susan; daughters, Cindi Jones and her husband, Stanley, and Sandra Green; and a brother, Charles Natterman. She will also be remembered by her grandchildren, Jason, Travis, Veronica, Christine, Jessica, and Keri; her great-grandchildren, Preston, Braydon, Nicholas, Jacob, Summer, Tyler, Matthew, Andrew, Hannah, Emma, and Jaxson; as well as her great-great-grandchildren, Westin, Scarlett, Hudson, and Lyla. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandchild, Robin; brother, Theodore Natterman; sister, Elizabeth Lyre; and son-in-law, William Green.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018. A service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
