John Evancho

John Evancho, 90, of Bethlehem died Friday October 27, 2006 in Newark Delaware. He was born on March 23, 1916 in Allentown, Pa. son of the late Nicholas and Julia Pastelak Evancho. He was the husband of the late Irene M. Fedorak Evancho who died in 1999.

John was a supervisor for Bethlehem Steel in the #2 and #4 open hearth and the B.O.F. for 42 years retiring in 1978. He was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Bethlehem and also a member of the former Bethlehem Steel Club.

He will be lovingly remembered by sons- John T. Evancho and wife Carole, and Robert J. Evancho and wife Barbara both of Newark, Delaware, sisters- Anna Hitcho and Julia Marcincin both of Bethlehem, grandchildren- Patrick, Kevin, Kathleen, and Kristin, and great grandchildren- Alyson, Katie, Rachel, Jacob, Maggie, and Max

He was predeceased by 2 sisters Helen Kmetz, and Mary Kokosky.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday October 30, 2006 at 11AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem. Calling 10-10:45AM in the church.
