Joseph S. Clemens, 82, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 19, 1943, in Gulfport, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Joseph D. and Marjorie (Stock) Clemens.
Joe graduated from St. Joseph High School, Michigan and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan. He was an avid sports fan and loved cheering on his Alma Mater. He also served honorably in the Army Reserves.
Joe cherished his time spent with his family, making countless memories during yearly family vacations to Bethany Beach, Delaware. He proudly coached his son, Curt throughout his baseball career and was a devoted fan of his daughter, Jocelyn's athletic pursuits. His biggest joy throughout his life was his family. In his later years, his grandchildren brought him so much joy, pride, contentment, and happiness.
Joe will be deeply missed and forever loved by his wife of 57 years, Linda (Hoffman) Clemens; children, Curt Clemens and his partner, Martha Kelly and daughter, Jocelyn Vlach and her husband, Nick; grandchildren, Brandon and Amy Vlach, and Mason Mayers; sisters, Mary Randolph and her husband, Jim and Marge Clemens and her husband, Bob LaVeque; sister-in-law, Marti Olney and her husband, Randy; and many nieces and nephews.
