Joseph (Josie) J. Maio, Jr.

Joseph (Josie) J. Maio, Jr. 97 of Bethlehem passed away Wednesday, February 18th at Holy Family Manor. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (O'Brien) Maio.

Joseph grew up in Bethlehem, working at the former Lehigh Valley Bank as a supervisor of maintenance, Bethlehem Fabricators, and his last job was part time with the Bethlehem Recycling Center. He also traveled to California where he dipped his hand in Hollywood, where he was in a handful of motion pictures. Joseph spent time living in New York and danced in several plays. He served his country in the US Army and was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church. 

Joseph loved life and was everyone's favorite person to dance with. 

Joseph is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Louis and Michael, and sisters, Theresa Stellato, Mary Szoke, Anna Rose Carrodo, Dolores McFadden and Nancy Maio. 

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 9-10 AM with service to immediately follow at 10 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
