Joseph M. Shegina

Joseph M. Shegina, 89, of Bethlehem died Tuesday April 25, 2006 at Hospice of the VNA of St. Lukes in Bethlehem. Born November 13, 1916 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late John and Mary Berkovich Shegina.

He was a 1936 graduate of Liberty High School and attended Lehigh University for two years. Joseph worked for Bethlehem Steel in the Rolling Mills Department for many years. He served his country during WorldWar II in the US Air Force. He was a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church of Bethlehem and an avid soccer player.

He will be lovingly rememberd by sisters, Margaret Shegina, Arlene Gorscan and

Rose Kovacs all of Bethlehem, Dorothy Howell of Navasota, TX, a brother, Russell Shegina of Bethlehem and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Friday April 28, 2006 at 12:30PM at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 1PM at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Bethlehem. Calling hour Friday from 11:30-12:30PM in the funeral home.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
