It is with deep sadness, that the family of Kayleigh De Rosa announces her passing unexpectedly of natural causes, at her apartment on April 11, 2026, at the age of 39. She was born at Grandview Hospital in West Rockhill Twp. on November 19, 1986 and was the daughter of Michael De Rosa and the late Susan E. (Ashforth) De Rosa.
She is survived by her father: Michael (Dr. Flora Casallas) De Rosa of Horsham, PA; aunt: Dr. Ann De Rosa of Croydon, PA; uncle: Marc (Marge) De Rosa of Perkasie, PA; uncle: David (Harriet) Asforth of Wilkes-Barre, PA; cousins: Maria De Rosa, David (Alesia) Sims, Colonel Diane (ret.) (Colonel John) Sullvian. Predeceased: in addition to her mother; uncle: Joseph A. De Rosa; paternal grandparents: Joseph J. and Theresa (Salmone) De Rosa; maternal grandparents: John and Jeanette (Guenst) Ashforth; aunt: Marge Horutz; uncle: David Horutz; cousin: Michael Horutz.
Kayleigh was an only child who filled her home with laughter, curiosity, and boundless energy. She was deeply loved and encouraged by her parents, and in return, she brought a light into their lives that never dimmed. Her childhood was vibrant and full-days spent tinkering with cars and motorcycles with her Father, skateboarding, roller skating, snowboarding, Painting, drawing, writing, and enjoying the simple beauty of flowers from her mother's garden.
Kayleigh was, at her core, a spark of happiness. She grew into a remarkable, caring, and fiercely independent woman whose personality was as unforgettable as it was unique. She was fearless-never afraid to speak her mind, challenge the status quo, or take on whatever life placed in her path. Her creativity was matched only by her kindness, and she touched the lives of many with her infectious laughter and unwavering support.
Her interests were as eclectic as her spirit. Kayleigh loved punk and disco music, dragons and unicorns, and especially "pegacorns"-a magical blend of both. Any neon color was her color of choice for her hair, and she expressed herself boldly and creatively in everything she did.
Brilliant and driven, Kayleigh attended college at Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, VA at the extraordinary age of 14, earning a dual degree in Fine Arts: Painting, and Drawing. She then attended and graduated from the Welder Training & Testing Institute (WTTI) Allentown, PA. She was a talented artist and welder, a self-taught guitarist, an avid reader, and a passionate gamer. She typed over 100 words per minute and approached life with a sharp mind and an open heart. She was also an animal lover, finding joy and comfort in the presence of animals throughout her life.
Kayleigh experienced profound loss when her mother passed away in 2016, and after that loss, life was never quite the same. She carried that grief deeply and faced many of life's challenges with courage, honesty, and resilience. In recent times, she had begun to find more peace and happiness again, and those who loved her were grateful to see her laughing, smiling, and future-focused.
Though her time here was far too short, Kayleigh's life was rich with experience, creativity, and love. As her family reflects, life is not measured by how long we live, but by the quality of the life we live. Kayleigh's life, though brief, was undeniably breathtaking.
She is deeply mourned by her loving father and remains surrounded by the support of family.
Kayleigh leaves behind a legacy of creativity, courage, individuality, and love. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her fearless voice, and the light she brought into every room she entered.
A memorial to celebrate Kayleigh's life will include a table of her cherished belongings-her collection: Trinkets, New un-opened make-up, all pieces of her unique world. Guests are invited to "take a little piece of Kayleigh home with them," a gesture that reflects her giving nature and the lasting imprint she leaves on all who knew her.
We will also place an empty jar beside neon-colored sand, inviting each guest to pour in a color of their choosing. As the jar fills, it will become a living mosaic-each color representing a life she touched, together forming a beautiful reminder of how deeply and widely she is loved.
