Kenneth G. Turner

January 30, 1952 — August 7, 2023

Kenneth G. Turner, 71, of Bethlehem passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023 with his wife by his side. Born on January 30, 1952, he was the son of the late Rose (Hyck) and Frank Turner. He was the loving husband of Gloria J. (Webb) Turner.


Ken proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was honorably discharged after nearly 10 years of service and continued to serve his country as a member of the United States Army Reserves. Ken was a Christian that attended Transformation Church Lehigh Valley. He enjoyed playing Pinochle with friends and family, computer games, watching Walker Texas Ranger, traveling and trips to the casino. He spent 25 years as the maintenance man and electrician for the Allentown Farmers Market. Ken loved to help others in any way he could, often by helping with handy work that a family member or friend may have needed help with.


He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 10 years, Gloria J. Turner; sons; Robert Cohen, Micheal Turner, Milton Turner, Kenneth G. Turner, Jr. and his wife, Amanda and Richard Turner (Terri); daughters, Betsy Montgomery, Olga Rohan, Sarah Stancavage and Tekeita Nielson; brothers, Robert Turner, Richard Turner, John Turner and Les Turner; sister, Ruth Reyes; many grandchildren; sister in law's, Dr. Marlene Glass and her husband, Darrell Glass; sister-in-law Elder Joyce Eaton; brother in law, Bishop Charles Hester Webb, and his wife, Laverne and many nieces, nephews and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his son, Frank Turner and a sister, Jean Turner.


A viewing will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a funeral service to follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home, Pastors Charles and Reina Olmeda will preside. Burial with military honors will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Transformation Church Lehigh Valley, 1700 Hanover Ave, Allentown, PA 18109.
