Kostas "Gus" Vasiliadis, 95, of Bethlehem, PA passed away on Monday January 12, 2026, at Country Meadows of Bethlehem. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Evangelos and Maria (Kalanas) Vasiliadis. He was the husband of the late Thelma Vasiliadis who passed in 2020. Gus graduated from Moravian College. He was a teacher at Fountain Hill High School and the Bethlehem Area School District. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean War. He was a member at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Bethlehem.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Carol Smith, wife of Gordon, and Mary Dectis, wife of Peter, all of Bethlehem, grandchildren, Neal and fiancé Lisa, Natalie, Michael and wife Katherine, Christopher and wife Devon, great granddaughter, Aubriella, sister, Vasilia Chiadis, and nieces and nephews, Michael Vasiliadis and wife Sue, Jan Vasiliadis, Sandra Hicks and husband Rob, Nick Chiadis and wife Kathy, Marion Bitner and husband Mark, Doug Haines, Lee Haines and wife Kristin, and God-daughter, Renee Piripavel. He was predeceased by a sister Cleo Haines.
A viewing will be held from 10:30-11:30am Saturday, January 17, 2026, at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral 1607 W. Union Blvd Bethlehem, PA 18018, followed by a service at 11:30am. The burial will be held at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Allentown, PA
