Leonard M. "Lenny" Capuano, 62, of Bethlehem passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2026. Born on September 6, 1963, he was the son of Anne (Martini) and the late Leonard A. Capuano. He was the loving husband of Michelle A. (Horvath) Capuano.
Lenny was a lifelong resident of Bethlehem, and played multiple varsity sports for Liberty High School. He was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bethlehem. Lenny proudly served his country as a United States Marine. He went on to earn his associate's degree from Northampton Community College and spent over 30 years working for the Bethlehem Area School District. He enjoyed working out at the YMCA, watching Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Redskins games, following local high school and college sports, especially Liberty and Moravian, and he cherished his nightly dinners with his family. His Saturday routine consisted of waking up and cleaning the house from top to bottom and meticulously maintaining his house and yard. He enjoyed taking care of his families' cars, and Michelle never had to worry if she had gas in her car because Lenny would always take care of it. Lenny was funny with a great, sometimes dry, sense of humor, and was notorious for his quick, witty comments and phrases. Family was his life. As their biggest fan, he never missed a chance to cheer his children on from the stands, and he brought that same warmth and encouragement to everyone he met.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Michelle A. Capuano; son, Mike Capuano; daughters, Nicole Capuano and Maddie Capuano; mother, Anne Capuano; brother, Matthew Capuano, (husband of Terry); sisters, Marie Kresge, wife of Jerry, Anne Skelly, wife of Patrick), Lenore Capuano, Catherine Fattore, wife of Alexander, Elizabeth Mancuso, wife of Gilbert, and Michele Staves, (wife of Frank); mother and father in law, Annie and Julius Horvath; sister in law, Kristen Campbell and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
