Linda L. Dunbar

Linda L. Dunbar, 73, of Bethlehem, passed away on November 13, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born in Bethlehem; the daughter of the late Woodrow W. and Margaret E. (Ruth) Longenbach. Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Elmer J. Dunbar, Jr.

Linda will be lovingly remembered as a strong, caring, and hardworking woman who was so much fun. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who put the needs of others before her own. Linda enjoyed gardening, making crafts, flea markets, and auctions. Linda appreciated plays and Broadway shows.

Linda took great pride in the homes and businesses that she cleaned. She had a special place in her heart for animals, often bringing home the pets of her clients to watch while they were away and caring for strays.

Linda dedicated her life to her family and will be dearly missed by her husband, Elmer; daughter, Renee Dunbar Jones and husband, Todd; son, Jason Dunbar and wife, Stephanie; grandchildren, Nicholas, Thomas, and Samuel Dunbar; brothers, Russel, Ronald, and Donald Longenbach; nephew, Arthur Hamm; as well as her extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Zachary Achey; sisters, Evelyn Longenbach, and Phyllis Hamm; and brother, William Longenbach.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. and again on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 10-11 a.m. immediately followed by a service, all at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.

Linda loved flowers and to make someone’s day brighter, in lieu of flowers for the service, the family is requesting that you send flowers to someone you love.
