Linda McCarthy

Linda H. McCarthy, 75, of Bethlehem, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

Born on March 10, 1950, in Garden City, NY, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland and Norma (Hogg) Hollabaugh.

Linda was employed by Lehigh Valley Hospital for 43 years, where her coworkers described her as dedicated, generous and spunky. She enjoyed her time at Lehigh Valley Hospital, working in different departments over the years and forming lasting friendships. Linda was a faithful member of Central Moravian Church, Bethlehem. She was also a longtime active member at the Rosemont Fire Company where she had many friends that she considered family.

Linda will be dearly missed by her daughter, Caitlin F McCarthy and her husband, Erik Mercier; son, James J McCarthy III and his wife, Lindsay; and two sisters, Mary Donovan and Karen Wu and her husband, Michael.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her sister, Jean Sattler and her husband, Theodore.

A private celebration of Linda's life will be held at a later date.
