Linda Ozga, 72, of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, surrounded by her children. Born on January 17, 1951 in Passaic, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Frances (Graziano) and John Hanisko.
Linda was a thoughtful, compassionate and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She cherished spending time with her family and cared for them dearly.
She valued the beauty and peacefulness of Nature and appreciated a breeze through her hair, the sun on her face, and floating in the water. She enjoyed growing veggies in her garden and finding joy in God's gifts, which couldn't be purchased. Her Faith and family values were very important.
She was generous to family, charitable causes and home shopping networks. She enjoyed listening to music, reading, creating clever household solutions, and watching comedies. Her sense of humor, jokes and special expressions provided the gift of laughter.
Linda had a soft spot for animals and treated her pets (Tiffany, Tosha, Buffy and Snoopy) like family members. Above all, she loved her family, and always put them first. She could always be counted on to prepare holiday and Sunday dinners and ensured you were always well-fed.
As a Cub Scout den leader and a softball coach, she focused on the importance of "set up" and "being prepared," which followed her throughout life. She was very particular in her visions, strong-willed and kind-hearted.
She was a graduate of Clifton High School, furthered her education, and was employed as a Unit Clerk and Medical Receptionist for 20 years in the healthcare industry.
Linda is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Debbie Costello of Allentown; son, Steve Ozga of Bethlehem; brother, John Hanisko of Las Vegas, NV; sister Karen DeProspo of Newton, NJ; granddaughters, Jordan and Hailey Costello; a niece and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Sean and Ashley Costello.
