Manuel R. Valentin

Manuel Valentin, 80 , of Bethlehem, died on Friday, July 29, 2011 at Moravian Village of Bethlehem . Manuel was born in Veja Baja, Puerto Rico, and was the son of the late Juana Bruno. Manuel was the husband of the late Philomena Loretta Cerchiaro-Valentin who died in March of 2008.

Manuel worked for the Bethlehem Steel in various departments retiring in 1982. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Bethlehem.

Manuel will be lovingly remembered by his two sisters Maria Candelario of Bethlehem and Idalia Rodriquez of Florida, Granddaughter-Grace Medina of Allentown, Pa., Granddaughter-Idalia Alicia of Quakertown, PA and six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a daughter Idalia Valentin Medina and a brother Louis R. Bruno.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18017 from 7-9 PM and at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020 on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 from 9 to 10:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM. Entombment following Mass at Holy Saviour Mausoleum.
