Manuel Nunes Sa

Manuel Nunes Sa, 71, of Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Maria Loureiro (Carvalho) Sa. Manuel was born in Oliveira de Azemeis, Portugal on January 3, 1955 to the late Antonio Batista and Maria Almeida (Nunes) Sa. Manuel dedicated his life to his work as a diesel mechanic, serving with excellence at Anrich for many years before retiring, his hands-on skills and commitment to his craft earned him immense respect among his peers.

Above all, Manuel found his greatest happiness in the warmth of family and friends. He cherished the simple moments in life, always eager to engage in good conversation and create lasting memories with loved ones. His passion for life and the bonds he forged will be remembered by all who were fortunate to know him.

He was a member of Holy Infancy Roman Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

Survivors: In addition to his wife of 49 years; children: Marco Sa and his wife Amy Peña Sa of Bethlehem, Mariza Sa of Bethlehem; sister: Lucia Afonso and her husband Manuel of Portugal; grandchildren: Cristian Sa and Ava Sa; sister-in-law: Alda and her husband Victor Mergulho of Bethlehem; brother-in-laws: Walter Carvalho of Bethlehem, Arthur Carvalho and his wife Agosta of Portugal, Manny Carvalho and his wife Julia of Bethlehem; many nieces & nephews.

Service: Family and friends are invited to his viewing from 9-10am, Saturday August 8, 2026, at Holy Infancy Church, 312 East 4th Street, Bethlehem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am. The burial will be held at Cemiterio de Pinheiroda Bemposta, Portugal.
