Margaret "Peggy" Ann Blawn, 82, of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehab. Born on March 4, 1942, she was the daughter of the late William and Bettie Jean (Geiger) Osman. She was the loving wife of the late George Milton Blawn, Jr.
Peggy worked for many years with the Bethlehem Area School District, retiring as head cook at Freedom High School. You could often find Peggy listening to Elvis, playing Yahtzee or Bingo, enjoying the beauty of sunflowers or camping with George. She loved trips to Chincoteague Island, VA to watch the wild horses, collect seashells and admire the beautiful lighthouse on the island.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Bettie Jean Kichline and her husband, Stephen; stepdaughter, Linda Himmelberger and her husband, David; stepson, George Milton Blawn, III.; daughter in law, Michele Brunell; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Scott Brunell, sister, Bettie Lou Jones and great-granddaughter, Leanna Hann.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment of both George Milton Blawn, Jr. and Peggy Blawn will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehab Fountain Hill, 724 Delaware Ave. Fountain Hill, PA 18015.
