Maria Nanashko

Maria Nanashko, 96, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Born on August 7, 1928 in Preluki, Ukraine, she was the daughter of the late Andreyj and Kathryn (Harechko) Donetz.

Maria was a devoted mother and grandmother, she cherished the moments spent with her grandchildren, who will forever remember her radiant smile and the warmth of her unconditional love. She took great pride in her Ukrainian roots and worked diligently to instill this passion in her children and grandchildren, ensuring that the traditions and culture of her homeland would continue to flourish in their lives. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings at her home throughout the years, she will be dearly missed by her family who loved and adored her.

Survivors: daughters, Irena Labensky and Lilia Kozicky and her husband, Peter; sister, Vera Todoriv; grandchildren, Larissa Prawak and her husband, Myron, Peter Kozicky, Natalia Haidukewych, and Ariana Labensky; and great-grandchildren, Colin Prawak, Ella Prawak, Emilia Prawak, and Peter Haidukewych.

In addition to her parents, Maria is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Volodymyr Nanashko; sister, Nina Mark; and granddaughter, Lilia Kozicky.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a Parastas service beginning at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Memorial Church, 280 Main St., South Bound Brook, New Jersey, 08880 at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Interment will conclude services at St. Andrew Ukrainian Cemetery.
