Marinda H. "Mindy" Marino, 87, of Palmer Township, formerly of Bethlehem Township , passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Catherine (Pansy) and William Buck. She was the loving wife of the late Nicholas J. Marino, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage. Nicholas passed away in March 2026.
Mindy was a devoted wife, mother, proud Nana, and cherished friend whose greatest joy in life was the people she loved. She was, above all, a gatherer of friends and a collector of people. Mindy had a remarkable gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel as though they belonged. She never seemed to meet a stranger, and throughout her life, she gathered a wonderful circle of friends, family, neighbors, teammates, and acquaintances who became part of her extended family.
Her home was often the heart of the gathering. She loved hosting holiday meals, parties, and celebrations, where there was always room for one more person at the table. She filled her home with laughter, good food, conversation, and, most importantly, love. Mindy treasured these gatherings and the memories created around them.
She proudly supported her son's baseball teams for many years, often hosting team parties and welcoming players and families into her home. Her warmth and generosity made her a beloved presence in the lives of many. She had a way of making people feel remembered, valued, and loved.
In her later years, Mindy resided with her daughter, Cathy, where she was surrounded by the love and care of her family. Above all, she was happiest being a Nana. She cherished every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and took great pride in watching them grow.
Mindy leaves behind a legacy that is measured not only in years, but in the countless lives she touched. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Nicholas Marino Jr. and his wife, Theresa; her daughter, Cathy Hartranft; grandchildren, Nicholas and Shelly; her five great-grandchildren, Bryce, Vera, Henry, Jayce, and Ella; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have been gathered into her life.
Mindy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Nicholas J. Marino, and her son-in-law, Richard Hartranft.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
