Mary Ann Aponick

Mary Ann H. Aponick, 78, of Easton, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital Anderson Campus surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 9, 1947, in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Joseph Filaseta and Delores (Pina) Filaseta. She was the wife of the late Robert V. Aponick, Sr. and they celebrated 56 years of marriage before his passing in 2022.

A proud graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School, Mary Ann pursued a fulfilling career as a secretary, retiring from Southern Lehigh School District. Her passion for education extended into her retirement, during which she devoted much of her time to volunteering at Abby Hall, where she generously shared her love and warmth with the elderly community.

Mary Ann was a gifted artist who found joy in various creative pursuits, including diamond painting, coloring, and needlework. Her artistic talents brought joy to her family and friends, and her creations were a testament to her boundless imagination.

She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Karla M. Aponick and her fiance, Gary Lobb; grandson, Ryan T. Edick and his fiance, Lynssie Collins; seven siblings, Josie Timms (Jeff), Dolly A. Biamon, Rosie Hobart (Mark), Chris Filaseta (Joe), Joe Filaseta (Barbara), and Linda Muniz; and step-son, Robert Aponick, Jr.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025 from 11-1:00 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a celebration of Mare's life beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice in memory of Mare.
