Mary C. Bates

Mary C. Bates, 88, of Northampton and formerly of Bethlehem, died Thursday January 17, 2008, at Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Allentown. Born, November 25, 1919, in Kingston, Pa; she was the daughter of the late John and Marie Knauss Gallagher. She was the wife of the late John P. Bates. She was a former member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

She will be lovingly remembered by: sons, Robert J. Bates and his wife Donna M. of Northampton and John R. Mayer of Bethlehem. She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Arrangements are being handled by Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A 1 p.m. graveside service will be held on Monday January 21st at St. Mary's Cemetery, 1954 S. Main St; Hanover Township, PA 18706.
