Mary Kanata

Mary Szucs Nyisztor Kanata, 95, Formerly of Coatesville, PA, Long Island, NY and Bethlehem died on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 at Gracedale, Upper Nazareth Tsp. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Susama Balla Szucs.

Mary attended schools in Coatesville and went to NY at age 17 where she married George Nyisztor who is now deceased. She had a daughter Elizabeth Betty Yeoman who died in 2009.

She married Nickolas Kanata and together they were superintendants of a 92 unit apartment complex in East Rockaway, NY. She had previously worked in a Venetian Blind factory.

After Nick's death she moved to Bethlehem in 1989, where she was a member of the United Church of Christ.

She is survived by a granddaughter Donna Yeoman of Atglen, PA, a grandson Donald Yeoman, of Coatesville, and many nieces & nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and husbands, her daughter Elizabeth, a brother Alex, two sisters, Elizabeth Graubart and Suszana Terdik and a great granddaughter Sherri Yeoman.
