Matthew William Wasko

Matthew William “Funge” Wasko, Jr., 89, of Bethlehem, PA; passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at St. Lukes Hospital-Fountain Hill. Matthew was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Matthew was a devout catholic and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Limeport, PA. He retired from Pleasant Valley Roofing.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 64 years, Gloria; son, Matthew “Rocky” of Coopersburg; daughters, Sharon of Florida an Nancy of Cetronia; grandchildren, Michele, Jenifer, Danielle and Matthew and great-grandchildren, Jaycie, Zachary and Kyleigh.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
