May Pauline Glagola, 104, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Encore at TurfValley in Ellicott City, MD. Born on May 7, 1921, in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Earl R. and Bertha A. (Kempf) Orth. She was the wife of the late Edward M. Glagola, Sr. who passed in 2019.
May was a proofreader at the former Bethlehem Globe Times. May lived a wonderful full life and will be missed by all of those who knew and loved her.
May will be dearly missed by her son, Edward Glagola, Jr. and his wife, Carmen, of Ellicott City, MD; cousins, Linda and Carol; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
May is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
