Michael A. Indrisek, Jr., 81, of Bethlehem, died Sunday November 19, 2023 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House in Lower Saucon Township. Born in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Michael J. and Louise (Kruczek) Indrisek. He was married to Kathy Indrisek with whom he would’ve celebrated 55 years this coming November 30th.
Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, where he served as part of President Lyndon B. Johnson’s Honor Guard. He was also in the U.S. Army reserves for 25 years. He worked with his father in their business “From A to Z Home Improvements”. Michael also taught carpentry at the Annadale, NJ Correctional Facility retiring after 25 years of teaching.
Michael thoroughly enjoyed life, he enjoyed being around people and had a passion for dancing especially polka dancing. Along with his wife they would sing in various churches and at Musikfest for the Polka Mass. In his free time Michael could often be found maintaining his back yard.
Michael will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Kathy, children, Michael P. Indrisek, Nadia wife of Clint Gerber, and David Indrisek, sisters, Debra wife of Marshall Smith and Pamela wife of Martin Sopko, and five grandchildren, Tristan, Emma, Layla, Nathaniel, and Vivienne.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish at 11 AM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
