Michael J. McInerney

Michael J. McInerney, 78, of Allentown, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Born in Easton on May 9, 1948, he was the son of the late Adele (Gettys) and Frank McInerney.

Michael was the parts warehouse manager for Ingersoll Rand for 26 years and he also worked at Giant for 25 years, and later Vitalic for 5 years before retiring. He loved anything to do with cars. He collected die cast cars, enjoyed going to car shows and cruising in his Cadillac. Michael enjoyed being around friends and seemed to know everyone. He cherished his family and especially his time spent with his grandchildren.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jessica Kemp (Jim), Justin McInerney (Cara) and Jason McInerney; brother, Thomas McInerney; sisters, Linda Kile and Nancy Winters and grandchildren, Harper, Everly and Alexander.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 4-6 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
