Nicholas J. Marino

Nicholas J. Marino, 87, formerly of Bethlehem, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at his daughter's home in Palmer Township, where he had lived for the past four years. Born in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Grace (Falcone) Ummarino. He shared 66 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Marinda (Buck) Marino, celebrating their anniversary this past May 7.

Nicholas attended Lehigh University and went on to serve as an administrator for Chrin of Delaware for more than 40 years, retiring in 2020. He was deeply involved in the local baseball community, spending many years as a coach and manager in the Tri-County Baseball League and helping to found the Bethlehem Township Buccaneers baseball team. In addition to his love of sports, Nicholas was a talented musician and singer who brought joy to family and friends with his recordings.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marinda; his son, Nicholas Marino Jr. and his wife Theresa; his daughter, Cathy Hartranft; his brother, Jerome Ummarino; his sisters, Patricia Simon and Mary Ellen Mitchell; his grandchildren, Nicholas and Shelly (and her husband Alex); and his five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Richard Hartranft.

A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
