Peggy Sue C. Martin

Peggy Sue C. Martin, 87, of Bethlehem and formerly of Seneca, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021.

Born July 26, 1934, in Anderson, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Lou (Black) Campbell.

A graduate of Girls High School in Anderson, SC, Peggy went on to earn her associates degree from Forrest Business School, also in Anderson.

Following her formal education, she enjoyed a lengthy career as a secretary, ultimately retiring from Wometco, Inc.

Outside of work, she was a dedicated member of Utica Baptist Church in Seneca, SC. Peggy also loved to travel, enjoyed art projects, crewel stitch work, crossword puzzles, attending family reunions, and above all, spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Andy Martin, who passed away on August 19, 2015; her son, Douglas W. Martin; and her son-in-law, Richard R. Ridgick, Jr.

Peggy will be lovingly remembered by two daughters: Vickie Ridgick of Bethlehem, PA, and Jo Andrea Henderson (Russell) of Charleston, SC; one sister: Shirley Satterfield of Seneca, SC; six grandchildren: Robert M. Ridgick, Lisa Nimeh, Crystal White, Amy Pierce, Andrea Henderson, and Trevor Martin; eleven great-grandchildren, and several nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in honor of Peggy Sue, to the Disaster Relief Team at Utica Baptist Church, 4056 Wells Highway, Seneca, SC 29678.

Arrangements are under the care of the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem.
