Ramon Vega

Ramon Vega, 92, of Bethlehem, PA passed away on Wednesday April 8, 2026, at Complete Care at Lehigh Center in Macungie, PA. He was born in Maunabo, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Rafael and Rufina (Arroyo) Vega. He was the husband of the late Eneida M. Vega for 40 years until her passing in 1998. He was the husband of Ysabel (Payano) Vega of Bethlehem, and they were married for 23 years. Ramon was the owner and operator of Vega's Inc. (was aka Vega's Food & Spirits) in Bethlehem for over 45 years. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. He was in the 65th Infantry Regiment nicknamed the "Borinqueneers", a historic all Puerto Rican US Army unit. Ramon was a member of Holy Infancy's Holy Name Society, Cursillista, and a member of the Puerto Rican Beneficial Society. Ramon was devoted to his family and his business. He loved serving and helping people throughout his life.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ysabel, his sons, Ramon Vega (Luz),and Jason Vega (Shannon Aquino), daughters, Mabél Raymond (Joseph), and Evett Key (John), brother, Miguel Vega, grandchildren, Michael Raymond (Kate), Adam Raymond, Chelsea-Rae Sanchez (Victor), and Aidan Vega, several nieces and nephews, beloved family dog, Jimmy, sons of Ysabel, Erick Ramírez, Franklin Ramírez, Reynaldo Ramírez and her 6 grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Monday April 13, 2026, from 6-8PM and Tuesday April 14, 2026, from 9:30-10:30am at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11am at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. The burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
