Raymond Barbosa, Sr., a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on May 18, 1966, in Bethlehem, he was the son of David Barbosa, Sr. and Iris (Sanchez) Barbosa.
Raymond graduated from Liberty High School and was known for his infectious laugh and playful sense of humor. A die-hard sports fan, he passionately supported the Raiders and the Eagles, often gathering with friends and family to cheer on his teams. He was a person of great warmth and generosity, always willing to lend a helping hand or give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Above all, Raymond loved big-his greatest pride and joy were his children, he cherished every moment spent with his family.
Raymond will be remembered not just for his generosity and love for sports, but also for his unwavering love for those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and devotion that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Raymond will be dearly missed by his four children, Raymond Barbosa, Jr. and his wife, Kelsey, Raymond Alexy Barbosa and his wife, April, Ebony Barbosa-Jones and her husband, Adam, and Jeremy Barbosa; siblings, David Barbosa and his wife, Carmen, Jose A. Barbosa, and his wife, Carmela, and Belinda Barbosa-Estremera and her husband, Angel; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Raymond is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. Another viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 9-10:00 a.m. at Holy Infancy Church, 312 E. 4th St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10 a.m. in the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
