Richard Fritz, Sr.

Richard F. "Dick" Fritz, Sr., 94, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on August 23, 2025. Born on July 22, 1931, in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Tell) Fritz.

Richard dedicated over 30 years of his life serving as a firefighter for the City of Bethlehem, where he was a proud member of the International Association of Fire Fighters (I.A.F.F.) and an esteemed member of the St. Bernard's community.

Richard was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His legacy of love, dedication, and service will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Richard will be dearly missed by his wife of 70 years, Anna Marie Fritz; sons, Richard F. Fritz, Jr. and his wife, Joann, Joseph D. Fritz and his wife, Susan, and William J. Fritz and his wife, Marie-Louise; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Nikolas, Katie, Mathew, Michael, Melissa, and Jessica; and nine great-grandchildren.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 10-11 a.m. at St. Anne's Church, 450 E. Washington Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18017 with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
