Robert A. Mathers

Robert A. Mathers, 60, of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, April 9, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 8, 1956 in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of Marie (Kelly) Schwartz and the late Lester Mathers, Jr.

Bob was a 1974 graduate of Liberty High School and honorably served 10 years in the Army. He did tours of duty in South Korea and Germany, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was most recently employed at Cigars International. Bob was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Marie of Bethlehem; brother, Roland and his wife Paula of Merrimack, NH; niece, Janelle; nephew, Bryan; and many extended family and friends. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to their cousin, Ellen Sinclair, for her support and care to Robert during this difficult time.
