Robert George

Robert Daniel George, 70, of Covington, PA died Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Joyce George and Robert C. George.

Bob graduated Freedom High School in 1972, attended Utah State University, graduating with a B.S. degree in Forestry and Land Management in 1976. He moved back home to Bethlehem for a few years and then accepted work in Roosevelt, Utah. Bob went back to school at Weber State College for a degree in Photography in 1986. Upon graduation Bob and his youngest brother, Gary, moved to California where they lived together and Bob purchased a Photography Art Studio in Burbank, CA. Economics eventually led to the closing of the business and in 1994, Bob moved back to Bethlehem for about 2 years before purchasing a small residential farm in Wellsboro, PA. Bob worked as a welcome center manager until he retired in 2021. Bob always maintained a love for traveling throughout the United States and often traveled with his brother around the country.

Bob is survived by his youngest brother, Gary whom he traveled around the country with as time permitted. He is also survived by his nephew, Christopher George and niece, Sara George. Bob was preceded in death by his father, then mother, and finally his brother, Robin.

A calling hour will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 1-2 PM followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
