Robert "Bob" A. Reiss, 75, of Bethlehem, passed away on June 11, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital, Anderson Campus. Bob was born in Wilson, Pennsylvania to the late Stanford and Joyce (Conover) (Reiss) Encke. He was married to Susan (Schoenberger) for 47 years until her passing in 2020. On September 22, 2024, Robert married Lynn Massini, a union that brought joy to both of their lives.
For much of his life, Robert worked at Roche Pharmaceuticals. There he manufactured Vitamin-C, often used in a variety of different foods and lifesaving medicines. His technical skills and knowledge showed throughout all parts of his life. A faithful Christian, Robert was a longtime member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Bethlehem Township (Farmersville). His faith remained a cornerstone of his life, providing guidance, comfort, and purpose.
Robert found his greatest peace along the water's edge, rod in hand and eyes fixed on the water waiting for a bite. A devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles football team, he would always be found cheering them on each season with unwavering loyalty. Robert's love for music was also strong, and the timeless melodies of Elvis Presley songs were often heard playing throughout his home. Family gatherings were made special by his legendary barbecuing, a skill he proudly perfected over the years and shared generously with those he loved. More than anything, Robert will be remembered for his easy smile, kind heart, and the simple joys he found in life's favorite pastimes. His presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered forever.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Massini; his daughters, Tamara (Christopher) Pammer, Kristin (Chad) Kerecz, and Wendy Santiago (Manny); three granddaughters, Molly, Rhia, and Elena; two grandsons; and a great-grandson. He is also survived by three brothers, Stanford, Charles, and Calvin Reiss, all of Easton.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan (Schoenberger) Reiss; and sister, Cathy Heckman.
A Memorial Service for Bob will be held on Wednesday, June 17th, at 11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E Broad Street, Bethlehem, with burial to follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to call from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
