Ronald N. Meixell

Ronald N. Meixell, 82, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026.

Born July 21,1943, Ron married his beloved wife, Dolores "Dottie" Novak, in May 1965, and together they shared nearly 61 years of marriage.

Ron built a distinguished professional career with Bethlehem Steel, Quaker State Vending, Service America, and Compass Group. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1961. During his high school years, he excelled as the goalkeeper for Liberty's soccer team and received the Jasper Award for outstanding sportsmanship and athletic talent, helping lead the team to three undefeated seasons.

Above all, Ron was a devoted husband and father who found his greatest joy in spending time with his children and his "grand pets". He was passionate about fishing, golfing, and solving circle-a-word puzzles, pursuits that brought him peace and satisfaction throughout his life. His love for these simple pleasures reflected his appreciation for life's meaningful moments.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Dolores (Novak) Meixell; his son, Ron Jr., and his wife, Shelley Meixell, of Rockville, MD; his daughter, Erin, and her husband, Aaron Crutchfield, of New Market, MD; his sister, Nancy, and her husband, Joe Rodogna, of Bethlehem, PA; and his brother-in-law, Thomas S. Novak, of Bethlehem, PA. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

We wish to thank all the doctors and nurses who cared for Ron during his hospitalizations at LVHN Muhlenberg. His care has been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home.

Family and friends are invited to meet at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018, on Friday, April 24, 2026, by 10:30 AM to travel in procession to Holy Saviour Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service.
