Rosemarie Theresa Fenicle

Rosemarie Theresa Fenicle, 92, of Bethlehem, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026 at The Vero at Bethlehem. She was the wife of Blake Hottle Fenicle. They had the perfect love affair of 73 years. Rosemarie was born in Allentown on June 5, 1934 to the late Charles and Theresa (Yost) Fischl. Rosemarie dedicated over 30 years of her career as a secretary in the real estate office at the former Bethlehem Steel, where she was known for her strong work ethic and commitment. Earlier in her career, she worked at the Regensburg Cigar Factory. She was a member and active participant in church activities and gatherings at the former St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. She was also very active in the Liberty High School Booster Club.
A lover of music, particularly German polkas, you could find her and Blake doing the Polka or Chicken dance under the Musikfest tents or at the Saengerbund in Coplay. Rosie and her husband enjoyed traveling after retirement. Their ventures took them to Austria, Switzerland, Hawaii, Canada, Germany, where they climbed the Alps, the Midwest and multiple other US states. She had multiple interests: crossword puzzles, enjoyed games and taught her grandchildren to play eschalara. An avid reader, often finishing a book a week. She loved to cook and bake, with the famous Rice Krispie treats being a family favorite. Rose and Blake loved to entertain family and friends. There is nothing like a Fenicle Christmas and a Summer picnic at their home! Her home was a masterpiece with all of Rosie's personal touches. Most of all Rosie loved her family, with a soft spot in her heart for the children. She was the neighborhood grandmother, walking her grandchildren and others to school and taking them to the park and pool in Hanover Township.

The love, laughter, and strong spirit of this beautiful women is everywhere and will live on forever in our hearts.

Survivors: In addition to her husband Blake, son: Steven K. and his wife Jacqueline D. of Bethlehem; brother: Walter Fishcl and his wife Sandy of Allentown; sister: Theresa Issac and her husband Gene of Allentown; grandchildren: Adam C. Fenicle and his wife Cristina; .Aubrie L. Sobieski and her husband Michael; great grandchildren: Melina L. Fenicle, Carmeron J. Sobieski, Ava C. Fenicle; step-great grandchildren: Addie and Clarie Sobieski and the family Boxer, Jake.

Service: Family and friends are invited to her visitation 12-1 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem followed by a funeral service at 1p.m. The burial will conclude services at Bethlehem Memorial Park.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hanover Township Community Center. A fund will be established to place a bench or activity equipment in Pharell Park where she frequented with her grandchildren. Please make checks payable to Hanover Township, care of the funeral home.
