Rudolph F. Traupman, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Hospice House of St. Luke's in Lower Saucon Twp. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Rudolph R. and Magdaline (Wagner) Traupman. He was the loving husband of the late Edna C. (Halbreiner) Traupman. They were married 66 years before her passing in 2012.
Rudolph owned and operated J-Rand Personnel in Bethlehem for 35 years. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre where he was involved with D-Day and a recipient of the Purple Heart.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Dale Traupman and his wife, Georgia of Lehighton; Jeffrey Traupman and his wife, Barbara, of Carmel, IN; his brother, John Traupman, of Allentown; his four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, with a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Entombment will be at Holy Saviour Mausoleum, Bethlehem.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place,
Memphis, TN 38105.
