Russell Lee Johnson, Jr.

Russell Lee Johnson, Jr. , 58, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at The Veteran Medical Center In Wilkes Barre., PA. Born September 15, 1947 in Monterey, CA, he was the son of the late Russell Lee and Evelyn Marie Warren Johnson.

He was the loving husband of Sharon Ackerman Johnson of Bethlehem. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this past December 21st.

Russell was a retired Crew Chief in the U.S. Army for UH1 Helicopters serving two tour duties during the Vietnam war.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sharon, daughters, Vanessa Johnson of Texas and Tabitha Hannum of Colorado Springs, CO, as well as seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by, his brother, Robert.

Services: A Graveside service with full military honors will be held, Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery 1500 Airport Rd. Allentown, PA 18103. Visitation will be held, Monday, May 15, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
