Sarah E. Lopez

Sarah E. Lopez, 79, of Bethlehem died Saturday July 1, 2006 at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown, Pa. She was born on August 18, 1926 in Corozal, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Juan Pedro Lopez and Inocencia Lopez . She was the devoted wife of the late Guillermo Lopez Sr. Sarah was a sewing machine operator in the garment industry for 35 years retiring in 1979. She was a member of Holy Infancy Church in Bethlehem, founding member of the Puerto Rican Beneficial Society and member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

Sarah was devoted to her family, active in her community, and loved to travel .

Sarah will be lovingly remembered by her son- Guillermo Lopez Jr.husband of Isabell M. of Bethlehem, daughter- Nilda Silva of Florida, brothers- Antonio Lopez of Allentown, Ralph Lopez of Bethlehem Twp. , 6 grandchildren , 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

She was predeceased by a daughter- Mildred Perez

Services:Wednesday July 5, 2006 at 9:15AM in the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10AM at Holy Infancy Church 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, Pa. Calling hours will be held from 6-8PM Tuesday evening in the funeral home.

Contributions can me made to Holy Infancy Church.

Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery
