Sterling R. Schaffer

Sterling R. Schaffer, 68, of Bethlehem, died on Monday, January 23, 2017. He was the son of Irene J. (Bloom) and Sterling F. Schaffer. He was the loving husband of Joan E. (Langensiepen) Schaffer.

Sterling was a member of the Mountainview Moravian Church in Hellertown and a member of the Moravian Cursillo Community. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Sterling worked for the Bethlehem Steel as a clerk in the BOF office. He enjoyed listening to music, antique cars and collecting model cars. Bowling was a passion for Sterling. He was a bowling coach at Town and Country Lanes for 20 years.

His good-humored nature will be lovingly remembered by his wife, of 41 years, Joan E. Schaffer; and family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
