Teresa Lucia Epinger, 96, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Born in Bethlehem, Teresa was the daughter of Natale ("Christy Lewis") Lucia and Mary Ciliberti. Her stepmother since she was 16 was Louise DeBellis Lucia. Her beloved husband, Frank passed away in 2004. They shared over fifty wonderful years of marriage in the same house on Rockland Street.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Teresa most enjoyed family gatherings and cooking up a storm for all occasions. A creative soul, Teresa was an avid reader, theater buff, cook, and game enthusiast. She loved to bake a wide array of cookies for any occasion and taught many of the neighborhood kids her baking secrets.
Teresa worked at Laros Company then as a receptionist for Lorstan Studios and for many years, served as a Girl Scout Leader and worked as a volunteer for many years at St. Luke's Hospital.
Teresa is survived by her daughter, Natalie Epinger Chickey and her husband, John of Kintnersville; son, Chris Epinger, of Washington DC; son-in-law, Joseph Coleman; granddaughter, Elizabeth Chickey Story and her husband, Michael Story; and two great-grandsons, Hunter and Owen Story, of Kitty Hawk, NC.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riegelsville Library, 615 Easton Rd., Riegelsville, PA 18077.
