Thelma F. "Ty" McNeal, died peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025, at age 97. She will lovingly be remembered by her children David C. Long (wife Janet) and Gail L. Heffner (husband Michael); her grandchildren Meagan Moffit (husband Lewis), Danielle Garner (fiancé Matthew Almquist), Christopher Long (wife Courtney), and Dylan Graver; great grandchildren Craig Graver, Zachary & Kian Moffit, and Sarah & Nicholas Garner; and many nieces and a nephew.
Ty was welcomed into heaven by her loving husband, the late Daniel R. McNeal Jr., her brothers Norman Leo and Earl Leslie Tyson and sisters, Virginia Ruth (Tyson) Linder and Joyce Hannah (Tyson) Foster. Born July 2, 1928, in East Norriton Township, Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late C. Earl and Esther (Henderson) Tyson. Ty resided in Montgomery and Bucks County for most of her life. She was an active, devoted, and lifelong member of the Schwenkfelder Church.
Ty was an accomplished world traveler and had a zest for life and helping others. She was always the first person to help those in need and selflessly gave of her time and her heart. Ty touched so many lives; her love and infectious smile brought joy to everyone she met. She was an amazing businesswoman; one of the first female insurance brokers in the state of Pennsylvania. After Ty retired from insurance, she continued to work, first at Ampac Packaging as an administrator and then volunteered as a patient advocate at St. Luke's Hospital in Quakertown. Ty enjoyed the beach (St. Croix), singing, playing the piano, dancing, and spending time with friends, family and especially her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
