Verna M. Goodge

Verna M. Florey Goodge, 90, of Nazareth, PA formerly of Bethlehem, died Sunday, August 6, 2006 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth, PA. Born January 7, 1916 in Plainfield Township, she is the daughter of the late Clifford A. and Amy S. Houck Florey. She is the widow of the late Ray Coleman, who died in 1944, Lawrence Schurz who died in 1979 and Fred W. Goodge who died in 2005. Verna was devoted to her family and was a homemaker.

She is survived by five children Jeanne Miller, Elizabeth A. Fritzo, Kathleen, wife of John Concannon, Claire, wife of Gerald Mutter, David Schurz, four

stepchildren; Barbara J., wife of Ralph Sitley, Charles L. Goodge and wife Cheryl, Glenn M. Goodge and wife Kimberly Makoul and Elaine, wife of Bruce Grier. She is also survived by a sister Viola G. Reimer, 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Services: A funeral service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church 2020 Worthington Ave., Bethlehem, on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at 11:00 AM with a visitation at the church on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
