Virginia I. Doria, 85, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Born November 17, 1940 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Irene (Strempek) and Frank Malinoski. She is the loving wife of Joseph V. Doria.
Virginia graduated from South Scranton Catholic High School and earned her associate's degree from Northampton Community College. She went on to a successful career in banking, retiring from First Valley Bank in Bethlehem. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Italian American Cultural Club. Bowling, playing bridge, reading, knitting, traveling and crocheting for her grandchildren brought Virginia so much joy.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Joseph V. Doria; sons, Joseph A. Doria and his wife, Tamara, Stephen D. Doria and his wife, Lesa, and Jon Michael Doria and his wife, Kelly; son-in-law, Jefferey Lee, MD; brother Francis Malinoski; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Virginia was preceded in death by her daughter, Maria R. Doria, MD and brothers, David Malinoski and Leon Malinoski.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 10-11 a.m. at Notre Dame Church of Bethlehem 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. in the Church. Entombment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
