William L Hess

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of William "Bill" L. Hess, age 74, who departed this life on May 16, 2026, surrounded by his family. Bill was born on January 10, 1952, in Bethlehem, to the late Norman and Evelyn (Correll) Hess.

Bill was a dedicated husband to Kay, his loving wife of 53 years, and a devoted father to Stacy and Heather. He was a proud grandfather to his two grandchildren, Alexis and Dylan. Bill was a hardworking man who spent over 40 years in the manufacturing industry, working for and retiring from Apollo Metals Ltd.

He was a classic car enthusiast who enjoyed building model cars, attending car shows, and doing puzzles. In addition, he loved spending time with his daughters' pets and feeding wildlife.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Kay; his daughters, Stacy and Heather (Tim Sigley); his grandchildren, Alexis and Dylan Hertzog; as well as extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Fran, and brothers, Richard and Norman.

Family and friends are warmly invited to join us for a memorial service on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A calling hour will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m., followed by a brief remembrance ceremony at 7p.m. Attendees are encouraged to dress casually, as Bill would not have wanted, or expected, otherwise.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an animal organization of your choosing.
