    Joseph A. LaComare Jr.

    March 7, 1945 - February 6, 2022

Joseph A. LaComare, Jr., 76, of Salisbury Twp., died Sunday in St. Luke’s Hospital as a result of being struck in a parking lot by a vehicle. Joe was the son of Joseph A. and Frances (Little) LaComare, Sr. He graduated from Notre Dame High School, and then graduated cum laude from the University of Scranton. He served his country honorably as a sergeant in the U.S. Army at the DMZ in Korea. After the Army, he joined IBM Corp. in Bethlehem, and then worked for Kraft Foods at their Regional Customer Service Center in Allentown. He was married to Alberta Linda (Haas) LaComare—the couple celebrated their 50th anniversary in May 2021. Joe enjoyed being outside gardening and grooming his lawn, and he dearly loved walking the aisles of Home Depot searching for the perfect tool for his next project. In addition to his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by his sister, Franny Schaeffer. He is survived by his wife, son Douglas of Northampton, daughter Elizabeth of Lehigh Acres, FL, and five grandchildren: Joshua, Ryan, Brandon, Justin, and Ava. He is also survived by two brothers: Michael and Steve and his wife Debbie, all of Bethlehem. A visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 11:00am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or any no-kill animal shelter, in memory of Joe.
