Francis J. Martin

Francis "Frank" J. Martin, 83, of Bethlehem passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. He was born in Scranton, the son of the late John R. and Elizabeth (Higgins) Martin. He and his loving wife, Marilyn T. (Pervish) Martin celebrated 62 years of marriage last October 1st. Frank proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He graduated from St. Anne's high school in Scranton where he was the captain of the basketball team and went on to receive his bachelor's degree from Moravian College. He retired from the Bethlehem Steel and went on to work with his daughter as a realtor in the Lehigh Valley. Frank was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and the Marian Movement of Priests Prayer Cenacle. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Frank enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by his family. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marilyn T. Martin; children, Frank Martin, Jr. (Catherine), Thomas Martin (Amy), Michael Martin (Megan), Denise Rich (Joseph) and Tracey Oberecker (Thomas); brother, Kevin Martin (Dolly); 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his brothers, John Martin and James Martin and his sister, Ann Marie Regan. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in the Church. Burial will be private at a later date.
